These Terms of Use & Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WeCanna website and app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
What this Service is, and what it is not
WeCanna is not a bank. It is not a bank, a credit union, a trust company, or a licensed deposit-taking institution of any kind. It is a software service operated by DragonHorde LLC.
Your balance is not a bank deposit and it is not insured. There is no FDIC insurance, no NCUA insurance, and no government guarantee behind anything you hold here. If this Service fails, no public body makes you whole. That is the most important sentence on this page.
CxC is a crypto-token, not money. It is an ERC-20 token on the Polygon network. It is backed by a reserve at a floor price, described in Section 9 — backing is not the same as insurance, and a floor is a commitment this Service makes rather than one anybody enforces on your behalf.
Some of our words come from banking, and that is all they are — words.
Deposits, withdrawals, savings, and the counters we run in person are named after things
people already understand, so that using them needs no explanation. They do not mean the
thing they are named after: a "deposit" here is a transfer of CxC inside this Service, not
a deposit at a bank, and it carries none of the protections that word implies elsewhere.
Our in-person counter service is governed by its own separate terms, given to you at the
counter. These Terms cover your WeCanna account.
We are not licensed as a money transmitter or money services business, and we do not currently offer money transmission. Where a service would require a licence we do not hold, it stays switched off rather than running quietly — our cash counter is switched off for exactly this reason.
Nothing here is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Stake Shares can lose value, Savings pays a variable share and not a rate, and both are explained in How Savings and Stake Shares work. Read that before you use either.
1. Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- The Service is cannabis-themed and intended for adults. It does not sell, ship, or facilitate the sale of cannabis or any controlled substance.
- You're responsible for following the laws that apply to you where you live. If using the Service isn't legal where you are, don't use it.
- One account per person, unless we agree otherwise. You're responsible for keeping your login secure.
- Every account must complete at least Basic verification — see Section 2.
2. Account verification
Verification keeps the platform honest and is required:
- Basic verification is mandatory for every account. It asks for your name, date of birth, and country, and takes a few minutes. New accounts must complete it within the window shown in the app (currently 15 days from sign-up); existing accounts were given the same window when this requirement began. Your personal deadline is shown on every page until you verify.
- If the deadline passes without Basic verification, the account is suspended: you can still sign in to verify, contact support, or log out, but nothing else. If verification still isn't completed, the account is closed: CxC earned through mining is forfeited (returned to the community treasury), settled deposits are refunded where our payment provider allows, and the account is disabled. Closures are executed with human review, not automatically.
- Higher levels are optional. "Verified" confirms your identity (including ID details) and raises your limits and redemption access; "Business" is for merchant accounts. What each level asks for and unlocks is shown on the Verification page, and you're notified the moment any application is decided.
- Providing false or someone else's information in verification is a violation of these Terms (Section 13).
3. What CxC is
CxC (CannaCoin) is a real, fixed-supply ERC-20 token on the public Polygon network (contract 0x1Fa57c803Bc14cF3D6d8A9EAf4f3A4E7B1Dd09C3, source-verified). You earn it by using the app — mainly through timed "Proof of View" mining sessions. Two layers work together:
- The platform ledger (CannaChain) is the fast layer: it credits your mining instantly and for free, and powers Savings, Stake Shares, the Market, and redemptions against our reserve at the published floor price, subject to the limits below.
- Nightly on-chain settlement. For verified accounts, we maintain a Polygon address derived and held for you (we custody its key), and once a day we send one netted transfer so that address matches your platform balance. Your coins are real, on the public chain, and viewable by anyone — including you, any time. Settlement timing, per-day caps, and a minimum (dust) threshold apply; small or capped remainders simply settle on following days.
- Self-custody is optional. Verified members can additionally withdraw CxC to a wallet whose keys they hold themselves. On-chain transactions are public and permanent; once coins leave for self-custody we cannot reverse or recover them.
To keep the platform ledger honest, we publish its figures: a pseudonymous snapshot of the ledger (addresses and amounts — never names, emails, or other personal details) is exported nightly and its cryptographic fingerprint is recorded on Polygon, making history tamper-evident. Live figures are on our public Transparency page. Corrections to settlement follow our fix-forward policy: they only ever add what was missed; we do not pull coins back from your address to fix our own errors.
⚠ CxC is not an investment
CxC is a utility/rewards token for using the platform. It is not a security, a share, a deposit, or an investment product, and nothing on the Service is financial, legal, or tax advice. Buying passes, boosters, or POL is not investing. Don't spend money you can't afford to, and don't treat CxC as a way to make money — treat it as points you earn for your time.
4. Mining, sessions, passes, and boosters
- Mining means completing timed sessions in the app. Session timing runs on our servers to keep it accurate.
- You get a number of free mining sessions in each 24-hour window (the current cap and session length are always shown in the app), and the window resets automatically.
- Rewards credit automatically the moment a session completes. There is no separate claim step; the ledger entry is the record.
- Miner passes are optional purchases that run additional session types, including scheduled and unattended ones. Each pass's duration, sessions, and total reward are stated on its Market card before you buy, and a pass's session time is charged exactly once per session run.
- Boosters are optional purchases or earned incentive rewards that add sessions past your daily cap. Earned boosters can carry unused sessions across days for a limited period, shown when granted; a lapsed earned booster releases its incentive so the goal can be earned again.
- We may adjust session lengths, caps, reward amounts, and pass or booster offerings over time. Current values in the app are the values that apply.
- Rewards are only credited for sessions genuinely completed. Attempting to fake, automate, or manipulate mining is prohibited (Section 13).
5. Payments and the CxC allowance
- Purchases (passes, boosters, POL top-ups) can be paid by card or PayPal through our third-party payment provider. Your payment is also subject to the provider's own terms; we don't see or store your full card details.
- Some items can also be paid in CxC. To keep CxC circulating in the community rather than parking in back-to-back unattended passes, CxC-paid miner passes have a weekly and monthly allowance, shown in the Market along with your remaining slots. Card and crypto purchases are never limited, and mining yourself is never limited. A pass may occasionally be unavailable for CxC purchase to protect the reserve; the card option remains.
- Prices are shown at the time of purchase. Digital items are generally applied immediately and are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law or at our discretion for a genuine error (for example, a double charge).
- If a payment fails to deliver what you bought, contact us through Help and we'll reconcile it. Don't retry a payment repeatedly.
6. The Market and merchant shops
- The Market sells platform items (passes, boosters, POL) from us, and hosts shops run by independent merchants.
- When you order from a merchant shop, the merchant is the seller: their listings, stock, fulfillment, and any pickup or delivery arrangements are theirs. We provide the ordering and CxC payment rails and a record of the order.
- Your order details (the items and your username as the shopper reference) are shared with that merchant so they can fulfill it.
- Problems with a merchant order should go first to the merchant; if that doesn't resolve it, contact us through Help and we'll look at the payment record.
7. Stake Shares
- Stake Shares is an in-platform market where you can buy and sell platform stake shares for CxC. It runs during posted platform-time hours; outside those hours you can place binding orders whose CxC is held in escrow until the market opens and the order executes or is cancelled by you where cancellation is offered.
- Pricing includes a platform margin, and trading is subject to velocity limits and reserve-coverage guards that can pause the market — a deliberate safety feature, like redemption coverage.
- Stake Shares are a platform feature denominated in a rewards token. They are not securities, equity, or an investment product, and their availability, pricing mechanics, and rules may change or be discontinued as the platform evolves.
8. Savings
Savings lets you lock CxC for a period at the milestone rates displayed when you commit. Earnings compound into the lock and become available when it opens. Each lock's term, rate, and open date are shown before you confirm and on your Savings page afterwards. Rates for new locks may change as the platform evolves; a lock you've already opened keeps the terms it was opened with.
9. Redemptions and the reserve
Internal CxC is redeemable against our reserve at a floor price. So the system stays honest and solvent, redemptions are guarded:
- The reserve is backed only by real outside assets (such as USDC and POL). We do not count our own CxC treasury as backing.
- Redemptions are allowed only while reserve coverage stays healthy, and are subject to per-user daily caps. Redemption access can also depend on your verification level.
- If coverage isn't healthy, redemptions pause rather than draining the reserve below what actually backs it. This is a deliberate safety feature.
- We may adjust the floor price, caps, and coverage thresholds to keep the system solvent. The current mechanism is described on our About page.
10. On-chain settlement and self-custody withdrawals
Nightly settlement (automatic). For verified accounts we derive and custody a Polygon address for you and settle it nightly to match your platform balance, as described in Section 3. Custodial means we hold that address's key on your behalf so we can operate settlement, enforce these Terms, and correct errors additively; you can watch the address publicly at any time.
Self-custody withdrawals (your choice, Verified members). Moving CxC to a wallet you control is available to accounts at Verified level, through a record-kept transfer from our treasury. On-chain transactions are public and permanent and cannot be reversed by us. You are responsible for providing a correct destination address; we cannot recover coins sent to a wrong address or to a wallet whose keys you lose. Coins returning from self-custody to the platform (bridging in) are open to all members.
Network conditions. Settlement and withdrawals depend on the public Polygon network; congestion or outages can delay them. Delays are not losses — settlement is self-correcting and simply completes on a following run.
11. Notifications and security alerts
The Service sends in-app notices that matter to your account: a sign-in from a new device, CxC leaving your account (sends, purchases, and shop payments), and verification decisions. These are informational — helpful, but not a security guarantee, and delivery isn't warranted. Keeping your login secure remains your responsibility. Some notification types can be turned on or off in settings where offered.
12. WeCanna Radio and third-party content
Some miner types play audio, video, or streams that include third-party content (for example, YouTube embeds), which remains subject to the third party's own terms and availability — content can change or become unavailable outside our control. Advertising appears only in designated places: within the miner player and in the miner banner. Ads are served by our advertising partner and are subject to its policies (see the Privacy Policy).
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, automate, script, or otherwise manipulate mining, rewards, passes, boosters, Stake Shares, or the reserve.
- Use bots, multiple accounts, or other tricks to gain rewards you didn't earn.
- Provide false information in verification, or verify with someone else's identity.
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users; post illegal, hateful, or sexual content; or spam.
- Attempt to break, probe, or overload our systems, or access accounts that aren't yours.
- Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, or any unlawful purpose.
Other users can block and report accounts. We review reports and may act on them, including removing content or suspending accounts.
14. Suspension, termination, and our error policy
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the reward or reserve systems, fail mandatory verification (Section 2), or put the platform or other users at risk. Where a violation involves faked or manipulated activity, we may reverse the affected CxC. You can close your own account at any time by contacting us through Help.
Our error policy — we fix forward. When a platform error affects balances or sessions, we resolve it with incentives and earn-back offers rather than silently removing value from accounts. Value is only removed for the reasons stated openly in these Terms: proven manipulation, or closure after mandatory verification isn't completed.
15. Service changes and availability
We're actively building the platform. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may set, change, or discontinue prices, rewards, and limits. We try to keep the Service available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may take it down for maintenance.
Growing features. Merchant shops and point-of-sale tools are live in early form and will keep evolving. We may introduce additional ways to use CxC — for example, a physical NFC-linked card tied to your wallet. Features not yet available are described only for transparency and will be governed by additional terms if and when they launch.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don't warrant that CxC will hold any particular value beyond the reserve floor mechanism described above, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet your expectations. You use the Service at your own risk.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeCanna and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost value, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
