These Terms of Use & Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WeCanna website and app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- The Service is cannabis-themed and intended for adults. It does not sell, ship, or facilitate the sale of cannabis or any controlled substance.
- You're responsible for following the laws that apply to you where you live. If using the Service isn't legal where you are, don't use it.
- One account per person, unless we agree otherwise. You're responsible for keeping your login secure.
2. What CxC is
WeCanna is a rewards platform. You earn a token called CxC by using the app — mainly by watching ads in timed "Proof of View" mining sessions. CxC comes in two forms:
- Internal CxC lives on our own ledger (CannaChain). Think of it like points in your account. It's free to earn and is redeemable against our reserve at a set floor price, subject to the limits below.
- On-chain CxC is a standard ERC-20 token on the public Polygon network (contract 0x1Fa57c803Bc14cF3D6d8A9EAf4f3A4E7B1Dd09C3). If you choose, you can bridge internal CxC to on-chain CxC.
⚠ CxC is not an investment
CxC is a utility/rewards token for using the platform. It is not a security, a share, a deposit, or an investment product, and nothing on the Service is financial, legal, or tax advice. Buying boosters or POL is not investing. Don't spend money you can't afford to, and don't treat CxC as a way to make money — treat it as points you earn for your time.
3. Mining, sessions, and boosters
- Mining means watching ads for a set time. Session timing runs on our servers to keep it accurate.
- You get up to 25 free mining sessions in each 24-hour window, which resets automatically. Each session runs roughly 30 minutes.
- Boosters are optional purchases that add extra sessions on top of your free daily sessions. They are never required to use the Service.
- We may adjust session length, the free session cap, reward amounts, and booster offerings over time as the platform evolves. We'll reflect current values in the app.
- Rewards are only credited for sessions genuinely completed. Attempting to fake, automate, or manipulate mining is prohibited (see Section 7).
4. Payments
- Purchases (such as boosters and POL top-ups) are processed by our third-party payment provider, currently PayPal, which also lets you pay by debit or credit card without a PayPal account.
- Your payment is also subject to the payment provider's own terms. We don't see or store your full card details.
- Prices are shown at the time of purchase. Purchases of digital items (like boosters) are generally applied immediately and are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law or at our discretion for a genuine error (for example, a double charge).
- If a payment fails to deliver what you bought, contact us through Help and we'll reconcile it. Don't retry a payment repeatedly.
5. Redemptions and the reserve
Internal CxC is redeemable against our reserve at a floor price. So the system stays honest and solvent, redemptions are guarded:
- The reserve is backed only by real outside assets (such as USDC and POL). We do not count our own CxC treasury as backing.
- Redemptions are allowed only while reserve coverage stays healthy, and are subject to per-user daily caps.
- If coverage isn't healthy, redemptions pause rather than draining the reserve below what actually backs it. This is a deliberate safety feature.
- We may adjust the floor price, caps, and coverage thresholds to keep the system solvent. The current mechanism is described on our About page.
6. On-chain bridging
Moving CxC from the internal ledger to the Polygon network is done through a manual, record-kept bridge. It is not an instant automated swap. When you bridge, your internal CxC is locked and matching on-chain tokens are sent from our treasury, with the transaction recorded. On-chain transactions are public and permanent and can't be reversed by us. You're responsible for providing a correct destination address; we can't recover funds sent to a wrong address.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, automate, script, or otherwise manipulate mining, rewards, boosters, or the reserve.
- Use bots, multiple accounts, or other tricks to gain rewards you didn't earn.
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users; post illegal, hateful, or sexual content; or spam.
- Attempt to break, probe, or overload our systems, or access accounts that aren't yours.
- Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, or any unlawful purpose.
Other users can block and report accounts. We review reports and may act on them, including removing content or suspending accounts.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the reward or reserve systems, or put the platform or other users at risk. Where a violation involves faked or manipulated activity, we may reverse the affected CxC. You can close your own account at any time by contacting us through Help.
9. Service changes and availability
We're actively building the platform. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may set, change, or discontinue prices, rewards, and limits. We try to keep the Service available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may take it down for maintenance.
Planned features. We may in the future introduce additional ways to use CxC — for example, a physical NFC-linked card tied to your wallet and a point-of-sale system that accepts it. Any such features are not currently available, are described here only for transparency, and will be governed by additional terms if and when they launch.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don't warrant that CxC will hold any particular value beyond the reserve floor mechanism described above, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet your expectations. You use the Service at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeCanna and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost value, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
